Urine Test Collection (Liquid Urine-Based Kits)

This guidance applies to all Regenerus urine-based testing, including OAT, MOAT, MycoTOX, Glyphosate, Tox Detect, EnviroTOX, DUTCH, OATs, and related panels.

Collection Timing

Urine samples should be collected using the first urine specimen of the morning, before eating or drinking, unless otherwise specified in your kit instructions.

This provides the most consistent sample for laboratory analysis.

Medications and Supplements

Do not discontinue any prescribed medications or supplements without first consulting your healthcare practitioner.

If you have recently completed a course of antibiotics, please wait 48 hours before sample collection unless your practitioner advises otherwise.

Collection During Menstruation

Samples should not be collected during menstruation. Please wait until bleeding has fully resolved before completing the collection.

Approved Collection Containers

Only the collection materials provided in your kit may be used.

Samples submitted in alternative containers cannot be accepted for processing.

Sample Volume Requirements

Please collect at least the minimum volume required for the test.

If excess urine is collected, pour off any amount above the 50ml indicator line, where applicable.

Labelling Requirements

All specimen tubes and paperwork must be clearly labelled with:

Patient full name
Date of birth
Collection date
Collection time

Accurate labelling is essential to ensure correct processing and timely results.

Freezing and Storage

Where required, freeze both the urine sample and the ice pack for at least 4 hours, or until fully frozen, prior to return shipment.

Please follow any additional kit-specific storage instructions provided.

Return Shipping Window

To maintain sample stability, specimens should be shipped to arrive at the laboratory between Monday and Thursday.

Samples received outside this window may be rejected and could require recollection.

Paediatric Collection Options

Paediatric collection bags are available for children who are not toilet trained. Please contact Customer Support to request these in advance.
